Did you hook up your Magento store with shopping sites, marketplaces and price comparison websites yet? If not, you should do so - soon! More and more shoppers are using price comparison websites to find the best price for a product or even to discover new products. If your products are not listed on these sites, your products can't be found and you're potentially losing sales.

There are hundreds of websites where your products can be listed, however, often getting your products out of Magento into a format that can be imported by shopping engines like Google Shopping or TheFind is almost impossible, as the built-in product export of Magento is so inflexible.

That's why we at XTENTO decided to develop a new Magento extension which makes it possible to set up feed exports out of Magento in any text-based (CSV/TXT/Tabbed/XML/...) format. Using our Magento Product Export Module, setting up product exports is a breeze.

The module comes with 15+ free connectors for popular shopping sites like Google Product Search or Nextag. If the website or system you want to send your products to is not listed here yet, please feel free to drop us a line and we will be able to set up your export format at no extra cost usually.

Your benefits at a glance:Magento Product Export Module

Wondering why your Royal Mail tracking links in Magento are not working anymore? Royal Mail has changed the location of their tracking URL in June 2013.

The old URL used to track a shipment was:

http://track2.royalmail.com/portal/rm/track?trackNumber=#TRACKINGNUMBER#

The new URL used since June 2013 to track a shipment is:

http://www.royalmail.com/track-trace?trackNumber=#TRACKINGNUMBER#

(#TRACKINGNUMBER# is a variable that gets replaced with the actual tracking number)

Custom Carrier Trackers It is highly recommended to update the URL in your tracking emails if you're using our Custom Carrier Trackers extension, as otherwise your clients could be confused if a 404 not found page shows up when trying to track their shipment.

Not using our Custom Carrier Trackers extension yet? You can easily set up custom tracking links in Magento using it. Tracking numbers will automatically be replaced in the URL so your customers don't have to enter the tracking number manually. If you are using custom carriers which are not supported by Magento out of the box, you can use it to easily add custom tracking URLs to Magento.

Welcome to our blog!

Jun 6, 2013 8:02:07 PM

Well, we finally got round to it. We've wanted to do it for ages (yes - since 2008 when XTENTO was established!) but somehow never managed to put fingers-to-keyboard until now.... So, drum-roll please... welcome to the XTENTO blog.

Our intention is simple - to blog about pretty much anything related to Magento we find interesting, be it our extensions or anything related to it.

We hope you enjoy our blog and we'd love to hear your comments on it.
